I’ve tried pulling on the cable, tried pushing on the bonnet.
Can someone PM the trick to release the latch 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Can you feel resistance in the cable so you would think its connected to the latch mechanism or is it loose?
If there is resistance at least one of the catches should unlock but will require some force and you would be able to feel that one of the sides can be lifted slightly.
If its freezing outside try to get it in a warm place and try again.

To repeat what I've written in a previous thread on this subject...

HOWEVER... Google is your friend on this. I found the method discussed and including the bit I didn't know on another forum.
Have a look ! .

At least there is ome more thing to try.
Get a assistant to sit in the car and pull the latch cable at the same time try to push and pull on each side where the bonnet catches this might release the mechanism as over the years of vibration and movement could have caused slight grooving in the steel.
Remember it will probably be neccesary with some force both push and pull wise.

Ok i did it 🥳 i managed to get the grille out without damage, releasing the 2 latches would be damn near impossible any other way. Turns out it was the junction box that popped open 😠 3 cable ties later it was working fine once again 🥳
