Is Bodsys (D3) brake bible valid for my 2016 D4 rear brake pad swop? If not what could trip me up?

Don't forget there are lots of great YouTube videos to help too. Whilst this one is about a D4 rear brake upgrade I thought it was well made and very comprehensive. May help you with what you want to do...

Concur with all of the above. Used it for pads all round and EPB shoe adjustment on a D4; a brilliant resource which told me exactly what to expect making all the jobs a breeze.
Cheers

Only bit not covered in the bible last time I saw it was that on the D4 fronts there is now an additional weight that sits on the outer pad on each side...

Forgot to say if its your first time doing it, it is worth getting some slim profile spanners to hold the nut on the slider as it is quite tight for space and the combination ratchet/spanners from Halfords advanced are too thick to get into the area where you need them..
First time I changed the pads on my D4 after doing them loads on the D3 I also found the car wouldnt start on the starter button - it would just turn on to say press the brake before starting but wouldnt allow me to start afterwards - it took quite a few pumps of the brake for the car to register, so many in fact that I was worried I had created a problemMust stop buying shiny toys....

Yes all good for brake bible on D4. Has been endless help to me. I did find there were a couple of bolt head sizes slightly different size in real life. I can't remember which ones exactly but its not exactly hard to pick up a different socket...2010MY Disco 4 HSE in Ipanema Sand over Almond.
It's got THE rear diff.
when adjusting the EPB the hub nut on the D4 is 36 not 32.

It’s great but make sure that you have the good tools as described. The thin spanner to hold the back of the nut and the torx on the rear to unbolt the disc had me when I changed the fronts (then the fact I had the wrong pads). So check before committing or have another car that you can use

Newer half shafts are 36mm and older ones are 32mm, not sure when it changed over, but I have just replaced one and went from 32 to 36mm.

I know you can get kits for different cars and some need screwing, but I love how easy this makes things.
There are cheaper ones on Amazon and other places, the link is just as an example.RLD CB Bracket

Not seen this tool before. I use a traditional wind-in tool, but the caliper has to be off the car to use. Does this mean you can retract the pistons without dismantling the caliper?
I’m especially interested because I have an F Type Jaguar, with performance brakes, and the fronts are notoriously tricky to reassemble. It would be great if I could just pop the retaining spring, pull the old pads out, and then spread the pistons to pop new pads in.
