its not brand bashing, as there are quite a few beemers I wouldnt mind. Like i said, we call it a marmite car, you love it or you hate it - personally I hate it (I just dont like the shape). This also applies to quite a few other motors around.

Great looking vehicle - only the X6 and Z4 look good IMHO.
Fantastic road presence and oozes an "I wanted it, so I bought it. You have a problem ?" demeanour
Only thing I think is weird is the lack of interior space considering its size
Shame you don't live closer or I'd be begging a drive.
Although, if you're here at the weekend, maybe I will prod you for a go

Your'e right, it's a Tardis in reverse. Still, there are just two of us. Can't wait for the pickup version.
I was looking for a really high performance large car. The stats are impressive also, 0 to 60 6.9 secs, 150 MPH and 30 MPG and only 220 CO2's. I am also into the latest technology. So access to the internet, the lack of a dipstick and the amazing 4 wheel power distribution affording incredible roadholding are just a few of features that drew me to the car.TDV6 SE auto, Java / Alpacca

I do think the time is right for a reincarnation of the original 80 inch Series 1, in a modern design. Small engine, small footprint (carbon and wheelbase) with excellent off road ability.

If you want a large fast car why not an AMG E class, very fast an very spacious. I just don't get the fast 4x4. If you want a 4x4 buy one that can do its job, if you want a sports saloon buy that.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Because I like it. I bought the D3 because I liked the look of it, ditto the Audi TT. As far as I am concerned, my D3 4X4 system proves to be useful for a few days a year. I have never taken it off road. Is that a good enough reason not to buy it?TDV6 SE auto, Java / Alpacca

Well I'll probably get shot for this....but I like the porsche cayenne. Yes, I know, I'll take myself outside and have a serious word with myself.
Wouldn't give you tuppence for a 911 though. Great car, just not for me.
X6? Good looking enough. Might be tempted if it were a tad bigger inside.
