Bluetooth wiring question |
|
I want to modify the bluetooth wiring in my D3 07 HSE so that bluetooth only connects to the phone when the ignition is switched on and disconnects again when the ignition is switched off providing there is no call in progress. At the moment if you lock the car and walk away just as a call comes in there is no way to answer it apart from turning off bluetooth in the phone.
Any ideas anyone?

At the moment ( assuming you have the full PTI kit ) its designed to power up when the car wakes up and goes of when the cars asleep ( a couple of mins ) .
You have to be aware that if the bluetooth module is rewired as you want it it can affect the stereo / sat nav as its all connected to the MOST system.
I retrofitted mine like that originally , but found while sitting in the car waiting for the wife , popped on the stereo ..no sound ( not without having the ignition on )
I rewired it back to the "wake up wire " G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hi Guys.
Currently selling my brother in law's Disco 3 HSE 2005/55 TDV6.
Someone has asked if it has bluetooth PTI, i believe it wasn't standard on the car at that time, and i have tried to search for 'aftermarket LR bluetooth install' and various versions of that text, and it's throwing up pages and pages on stuff not related, so just wondering, does anyone know:
Can a standard LR Bluetooth Kit be installed now and how much approx this would cost,
or any other non standard kits work well in people's experience and how much these cost?
Many thanks in advance for any info provided.

There is a LR bluetooth kit for later installation it cost about 170 pounds I believe. I had it fitted in my D3 before I bought it. It doesn't have all the functions off the factory bluetooth kit but it works fine with my Nokia.
I have some names programmed in the D3 and I can also use the phones voice dailing so I hardly need to touch the phone while driving all voice controlled. Roel
