After 2 days in my new D4HSE the one irritant is the Bluetooth connection with my HTC Touch Pro keeps dropping out and requires re-starting for it to re-acquire connectivity. This phone was rock solid in my D3. Will be contacting the dealers first thing on Monday and report back! D4 HSE

Have you tried upgrading the firmware on the phone, if the D4 has a later version of BT than your phone, then that might be the problem. It might well have worked fine with an earlier BT version on the D3 but need BT updating via firmware to work in the D4.
My N95 worked fine in the D3 until the BT unit failed and they put one of the new units in (with phonebook ) i had to update firmware on the N95 in order for it to communicate with the new unit.
Might be worth a try before you make a tit of yourself are embarrassed at the dealer I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

My HTC has the latest ROM version and all hot fixes installed and I have also checked with the Land Rover website compatibility page which requires the input of my phone Model including software version and my D4 Vin number and it gives it all the thumbs up! D4 HSE

I'd go and get it checked. The HSE I looked at in the showroom wouldn't pair with my phone or the salesman's! Both work on the D3 HSE, which has the same BT box fitted, so something strange is going on.
I was told last week that LR have had a number of "issues" with early D4s, and I wonder is this is one of the number. I was also told that things are now sorted and the factory is up to full swing.
There's no TSB relating to this - I just checked.

I picked mine up on Saturday, and is one of the first "Job 2" builds that was moved forwards as they seemed to have ramped up production as orders are going well acording to dealer (but they would always say that!)

Good to know that even with a D4 we will still be best friends with our dealer. Nothing changes

Would just like to pass on my thanks and appreciation to all the D4 beta testers... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."
Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."
Club "yes, I too once had the car at the dealer for a couple of weeks nearly 4 weeks over 4 weeks...5 weeks"
Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

Pairing is just fine - but incoming calls often seem to be volume-free. Anyone else had that one? Outbound is fine.

Hiya DiscoDuck
Can you find and possibly post / send me a picture of your D4 BT phone module.
Especially the label on it.
In the Latter years of the D3 the BT phone module was changed from the traditional Nokia module for a cheaper oblong unit with ears sticking out each corner for mounting.
The latter unit was noted for having better compatibility and pairing by most D3 owners, however this module had / has been in use by Ford for some years already.
Given that the Ford unit will have had several software upgrades to fix issues such as you describe, it may be that the LR version is implimented using older software.
If i can confirm its usage and cross its PN over, I might be able to check on know issues and any possible update that might be availiable in Ford and in the pipe with LR. You wont be able to use a Ford diag system to update it before LR get their act together, as that requires to see other Ford systems first, but i might be able to set up one of our Beta testers / system owners with the right file to do it if thats whats needed.

The telephone module in the D4 HSE is the same unit that is fitted to the later year, eg 09 MY, D3s. Continental, not Nokia.
Nothing has changed in the move from D3 2 4 apart from the touch screen interface end.

MartinR I had the same issue whilst my disco was in my possession. the guys on the other end would hear me fine but I had no volume at all.
Guys at the dealership say it must be a software issue on my iphone but it worked fine on my 06 rangie so not sure what the issue is there!
