bluetooth Inclinometer

I was thinking to myself, what do I need that would make my life easier when caravanning?
Then I thought that if I had something in the way of a level that would be fixed in the caravan, permanently powered whilst driving that could communicate with an Iphone/Android phone.
This would hopefully then be able to tell me if the caravan was level across the axles without the wife having to check through the open door whilst I maneuver the rig. Anyone aware of anything like this?
I could then drive into a site (CL / CS) and pick my spot without the bother of the Mrs running alongside and shouting, as she does enough of that already. Laughing Laughing

Have to say I don't find leveling that much of a hassle (but then the 'van is fitted with a mover - makes life so much easier)

If you have an iPad in the car and an Iphone in the caravan pointed at a spirit level you can easily arrange to see the camera view and hence the spirit level via bluetooth on the iPad.
If the distance between the two is too great for bluetooth just set up a spirit level on the towbar that is exactly level in both directions with the caravan floor and point the camera at it.

I understand where you are with the Iphone/Ipad set up, or should I say Heath Robinson Laughing . I wanted something a bit more permanent and tidy. I have movers (AWD Evolution) but wanted to be able to just pull up and fine tune across the axles by pulling forward a few more inches. to get it level. I use mainly small sites and the placement is generally not critical whereas moving forward or back a little may negate the need to jack/ramp one side. Maybe I'm just lazy but if it makes it easy, I may do it for longer. Thumbs Up
I'll wait for Steve's report on the Pitch perfect kit to see how it pans out for him. Maybe just what I wanted.
Very Happy

Having spoken to a guy on Swift talk forum who has one of the pitch perfect set ups on his van I've bought one from the C&CC site for £57.60 incl delivery. Seems a very simple idea (The best ones usually are) but allows me to level from the car when on a field type site by watching the PP system lights in my door mirror. How good is that in the rain? Thumbs Up
Guy on the other forum reckons he's level in 4 mins by just operating the jockey wheel and wizzing his steadies down by cordless drill. My kind of gadget. Very Happy

Fitted mine over last weekend and found it to be very easy. Would have been even easier if I'd read the instructions regards the O rings which hold the fixing screws and collars in place whilst you screw it in place. That fiddling cost me an extra 30 mins. Twisted Evil
I went for the through the A frame fitting and I'm chuffed it turned out so well. Calibration was easy once the van was level, it was just a case of setting the system so both lights illuminated. Now all I have to do is fit a window in my tow cover so I can see the across axle level through the cover. Thumbs Up
Can't wait to use it. Smile
