bluetooth factory installed |
|
reading many posts around here I realized that there are two types of bluetooth kit,
one installed at the factory that gives full access to the phone under the arm rests
one after sale installed (for example the kit vub501121) this is an excellent bt but not access to all the fictions
I would like to know if someone has a factory-installed bt connection diagrams
I would like to try to do a retrofit of the BT factory installed
I could only understand that it has only two cables (red and blue) that join the main wiring of the machine
does anyone have any idea?

The Bluetooth doesn't give access to any phone fitted under the armrest.
The Bluetooth gives access to the phone you've connected to it via Bluetooth connection.
If you install a phone under the armrest, that will take precedent over any Bluetooth connection.
It's an either or thing. Mods:

you're right about this.
I wanted to have info how to connect the bluetooth module like when it is factory installed.
the BT module is installed in the rear right quarter and is connected to the most circuit, then there is a wiring that connects the bluetoot module to the old phone under the harmrest
from this wiring also come out three wires that connect to the main wiring
one red, one blue and one black
obviously black is the earth, but I would like to understand where two red and blue wires are connected
thanks for help

Red is +12v (in factory install fuse 52 behind glovebox)
Blue is + when the audio system is powered up (fuse 58)
If you need to get to this feed at the rear of the car, you can use the blue wire to the ariel amplifiers on the rear glass.
Note: We keep telling you, to avoid disappointment, fit a DISCOVERY 4 bluetooth system.
The D3 system isn't very good with modern phones

Thank you for your answer.
I know that the bt of the d3 is not good with new phones, but I only want to use the old nokia 6230 under my armrest, I have a dedicated sim for when I'm in the car.
the blue cable when it comes out of the BT connector to go towards the fuse box from one becomes two lines, do both lines have to go to position 58 or should one go to another position?
I think the blue line is useful for using voice commands, is my idea right?
does anyone have a connection diagram so I can study well?

Just connect 1 blue wire.
Blue powers up items on the optical network I expect.
somewhere on here is a wiring diagram to download

thanks for your advice, I installed and everything works great with my old Nokia 6230 under the armrest !
i have update the firmware of bt whit my iidtool and may iphone Xs work perfectly under bt connections.
but only I have to solve: I provisionally connected the blue cable together with the red cable to test the operation.
do you think I can leave the connection so or do I have to connect the blue line with it original line ?
where is the ariel amplifiers under roof ?
thanks

I took the red of the TMC module that is under start up
But I always think about doing things right and I want to find a blue somewhere
the closest seems to be that of the satnav
what do you think

If the BT is at the rear of the car:
you can use the blue wire to the ariel amplifiers on the rear glass.
Look at the rear of the car, high up there will be 2 or 3 of these connected to glass (upper tailgate or rear side windows). (different colours, e.g yellow)
The blue wire connects to these.
Follow the blue wire back to a point where it is easy to connect to
