Liberal use of the words "up to". Your money but would advise caution. Plenty of experience on here with tunes developed for the D3 rather than general ones.

Superchips are really good, my last 3 or 4 cars have all been superchips.
The reason the put the upto figures is because all cars are different, as a general rule, mine have always produced the expected figures.
You can buy direct from them at superchips.co.uk

Agreed re Superchip, few peeps I know have it on their D3. Only saying that looks very generalised, esp considering SC do a series of remaps specifically for the D3 and specific numbers are available. Is this a vehicle for their specific remap like BAS one??

See what you mean DSL.
When I have been unsure before, they have invited me down and put my vehicle on the rolling road & tweeked it to what I want.
They also give you a nice graph & booklet.

I have Bluefin on my D3 and had it too on my last car. All I can say is that performance increase is VERY noticeable, and even gives better mpg too. As far as I know, they are custom maps. For example, on my last car, I had to wait 24 hours between the software installation and upload of standard map, before getting my hands on the revised map. I have a friend who works in the tuning business and he speaks very highly of these plug and play devices. Either way, I am very happy with mine and would say that the gain in torque / bhp is very significant.

I have not noticed any black smoke coming from the rear. The blueinf unit reads fault codes I believe (I have not tested this feature) - I don't think it resets them .

The Blufin uses similar technology to other plug-in remaps in that it takes the orginal file, uploads back to Superchips, they modify and download back to device. You then have two files, orginal and remapped. You can swap between these files as many times as you like (for dealer visits etc).
The device will also read / display error codes from the D3.
If you change vehicle or sell the device within the first 12 months they will remap another car for free. After 12 months there is a charge.
You also get 7 days to try the device or return it.SOLD - 23my Range Rover Sport D300 Dynamic SE

Just so as not to mislead anyone, I have a remap box similar to the BAS one (although it isn't actually a BAS one), and it can only read partial generic fault codes from the Engine Management System.
I can't access any of the other ECUs and doesn't give any text explanation of the faults (although this is easy to google), nor can it read the final byte of manufacturer specific data which usually describes the nature of the fault.
I think it would be clearer (if this is the case with the Bluefin) to say that it can read some a limited number of generic error codes from the EMS (which makes sense as this is the module it needs to connect to in order to flash the remapped software), but that's about it...it's definitely not a proper fault code reader, although good come in handy I suppose 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

somebody i know has the blu-fin and his has never shown a fault code, even when his car was playing up and the dealer said the code showed it to by part 'xyz'
you might be right on the device only been able to show one modules and not all the others faults
says its increases the pleasure of driving, but not his mpg
if i was to have a car out of manufacters warranty, i would prefer the ones that you can decide on the remap, from sporty or eco mpg
