| Phone linking to Aux a problem |

Hi
I thought I knew where I was going, but didn't
I have a Ford transit and I use my phone connected to Bluetooth on the radio a lot, I have android auto on the phone and with the Ford it works great, I can use google maps on the phone and when I press the Aux button on the Radio the directions come out over the speakers
I also use google play music on the phone this also comes out over the speakers
Hey google also works
So here is my problem
I have just picked up a 2008 Disco 3 SX
It has phone connectivity on it and Aux button on the Radio,
So there I was, did the research on You Tube and connected the phone to the Motor, set up google maps to get me home and nothing over the radio
I told Google to play some music and nothing over the speakers
The phone is doing all the right stuff but I am getting nothing over the motor speakers
Aux is selected on the radio
So I have made a assumption that is not going happen or have I not connected the phone to the Radio correctly
I look forward to your responses

You cannot stream music via Bluetooth in a D3.
You need to plug a cable into the aux socket at the rear of the centre console to play music. Mods:
