Blown heated windscreen fuses

Hi,

Newly bought car (2007 HSE TDV6) that recently had the heated windscreen replaced (before I bought it).

Tried the heating yesterday, nothing. Checked the connectors behind the a-pillars - ok. Checked the engine bay fuses - 1 blown and i replaced both (30 amp).

Tried the heating today - drivers side(left) working. Rechecked the fusebox in better lightning - fuses ok, but the mounts are half melted. Ideas?

United Kingdom 2010 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE Auto Alaska WhiteDiscovery 4

loose connection can cause arcing which equals heat and melty - melty

(loose fuse)

tighten up the 'spade type' sockets with a little nip with some very fine needle nose pliers

EDIT

just looked at pic closer, looks like 'socket has been pushed inside too so fuse isn't fully engaging which will equate to loose connection. Mr. Green

bit of rear access required methinks Shocked
