depending on what the water you fill with is like they also scale up
i cleaned some of the pipes out earlier in the year and cleared out a lot of what looked like lime scale - worked much better after thatDuncan

I had the same problem with blocked jets and tried to clear them at the nozle and at the water bottle end as I thought there may be gunge there. Therefore it had to be a blocked pipe somewhere, so I temporarily put in a new hose to see and it worked perfectly.
I then got a new hose at the stealers for around a fiver (yeah, bargin considering). It was a bit fidley and took about an hour to replace as i# had to remove front n/s wheel and arch to get access to the pipe.

cheers lads, tried the pin wiggle and no joy.
Might take off the heads at the weekend and give them a blast of air to see if its a more substantial blockage. Q, replacing the pipes sounds like a right pain, hope it doesnt need that.

J, you have to remove the black lining under the hood to gain access to them from underneath. just pop out the black clips. very easy to do.
The nozzles then come out easily - from memory they just clip in so I'm hoping they just clip out A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

If you can disconnect the outlet pipe from the washer bottle and give it a blast through with an airline or tyre compressor that usually does the trick. You tend to get a slimy jelly like gunge collecting in the bottom of the washer bottle and it gets pumped through the pipes.

I think if you use a mixture of screenwash that is too rich then on some brands it almost crystalises at certain points. Had the problem years ago on a car, and so tend to water it down a little more these days.

Barry Scott recommends Cillet Bang Bang and the Dirts Gone!!! Works well on the shower head anyway so maybe some in the washer bottle will help clear it out.
Also takes lime out of the kettle but the tea never really tastes the same.
I have found that a normal pin distorts the jet in most of those that I have seen "blocked"
in the past I have iused thin steel wire....the est I have found is that used for hangings pictures.....brass braided steel wire that cleans out the crud & doesnt open up the hole...BREXIT - done properly.
