Only last week I got an exchange BB 8900 Curve for my broken one, when I received it I updated it to the latest OS available from Vodafone here and the phone book & Call register (Dialed/Missed/Received) now work 100% Mr. Green , previous version only the phonebook worked and register was garbled at best.

The file I downloaded is: 8900M_PBr5.0.0_rel1682_PL5.2.0.104_A5.0.0.1036_Vodafone_UK.exe
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Got it sorted - and it was an odd one: my Blackberry came from our telecom supplier and was on Vodafone from new. Neither I nor our IT guys could get it to update beyond v4.6.1.199 using the desktop manager and the v5 software from the Vodafone section of the BB website. A quick call to BB tech support; they asked for the phone's PIN number and then said, "that's not a Vodafone unit, it's an O2". Loaded the O2 firmware udate and it worked at once. Bizarre - but worth looking into if you are having a similar problem and have ended up on this thread! Confused
