Bizarre heated seat sunroof drain issue |
|
Hi all,
Last weekend I replaced my passenger side sunroof drain on my 2008 2.7 HSE D3 (UK).
I removed the front connectors off the glovebox fuse panel (not the back ones) and then rotated the panel in situ, to gain some access to fit the new drain. Which went well.
When I came to fit back all relevant parts I inadvertently put the retaining screw for the sun visor, through the middle of the sun visor power wire. I didn't know this until I couldn't get the sun visor lights, the map lights OR the passenger electric seat, to work.
After looking at all the fuses in the glove box fuse board, I came across FL1 which has blown. This apparently controls the sun visor lights, the map lights and the electric seat motor relays.
I then found the screw through the sun visor wire, repaired it, replaced fuse FL1 and everything now works.
EXCEPT the passenger heated seat. Which was working all OK before this. I've checked the heated seat fuses and they all seem fine.
I cleared an intermittent passenger heated seat fault with my Foxwell scanner, but it still doesn't heat.
Any pointers as to what I can do to fix this, would be gratefully received.

The seat heaters don't go near that fuse panel. Goes straight to the climate panel.
Maybe a connector in the footwell corner ?
You will have to buzz out the 4 heated seat wires to the climate panel

And what do you mean to 'buzz out the 4 heated seat wires'??!

The heater panel in the middle of car. With the heated seats buttons on.
Check the wires are continuous
