Bit of a mystery…
Hi.
I took the gearbox guard off & found this sitting on it,any idea what it is?
I’m not discounting it could have fallen onto the guard the last time I had it off but I’m pretty sure I’d have spotted it when refitting the guard.

Doesn’t help but no idea, best guess is it’s been kicked up off the road.
It’s not covered in oil so unlikely from the car 2008 HSE Stornoway Grey
