Virtually every day of my first week's ownership of my new silver D3, my car is getting splattered in bird poo. Not just small amounts either.
Yet, parked next to it on the drive is a black LWB VW Transporter, but this doesn't get any on. Our grey RRS didn't get any on either.
Maybe someone up there is giving me a sign that I did the wrong thing and shouldn't of sold the RRS!
I seem to remember seeing something on the news about six months ago about some university research into car colours and birds do 'aim' for white and other light coloured cars. I can't remember the real reason but it may of been because they think it's water.
Anyone else experienced this? After now having to get a bucket out for five days on the trot, I'm now regretting getting silver - should of stuck with bonatti grey.
........I wish I had a garage or car port.Matt

Sorry about this Matt, anal I know, but there is such a word as "have". As in "would have", "should have".
O.K. I feel better now.

Dam busters music plays in the pigeons head as he flies over Matts house and carefully aims at his D3 and not his VW
Seriously I have noticed no increase in poo since my Buckingham blue was replaced with a Zermatt silver Zermatt silver 06 reg.

Those guys on "Life of Grime" tonight on beeb1 had a good way of despatching pigeons!
They did not show the detail, but it looked pretty decisive to me!

Yeah, the French had the right idea....a lovingly placed lump of semtex in the hull of their diesel engined boat ...I wonder how many miles to the gallon that did????21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
