I've just got under the rear end of my Disco, to retrieve the end of the spare wheel retainer cable, and I can see two, what look like, heavy counter balance weights - underneath the exhaust boxes on both sides. Although they don't look as though they are about to fall off, they both swing free on a mounting of some sort eash side. Who can tell me what these are, and whether they should be free to move or should be secured down tight?
Motor was serviced on Thursday, and I'm sure if there was a problem this would have been noted on the snag list I was advised of?
