You'll compromise your departure angle as they hang lower and further out than the standard tail pipe.
Also if you have side steps added like the ones in the pic... they will reduce your ground clearance. Most take off their steps when off roading.
At the end of the day it depends on what kind of off road you mean.

Chris Tyler has pipes that are exposed to the rear (although singles each side) ..I don't think he's had any problems. You would need to factor their existence into your driving style....driven by the knowledge that one ill judged move is going to be expensive 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

You can still off road . but you will reduce your departure angle , depends what you
define off road as , if you are going for the serious stuff then save your money
and buy some under body protection ,
Chris tyler has a twisted perofrmance exhaust (correct me here Chris if I have you wrong)
and this would be a better system for off roading , as if chris has been using it has been
well teseted offroad.

thanks loads for the help guys um i think i might have a diffrent idea of off road to you guys. My idea is taking it across a field haha. I dont think i will be going to off road places. It is mainly going to be used on the road and for pulling. Are they easy to clean up is you get them realy muddy? Also do u guys clean your cars when u get back from off road? thanks for the help

Juwel.....yes....almost everyone cleans their cars after getting them filthy dirty.....although they usually take pictures of them covered in mud first and then pretend that they're always that dirty and that they never clean them....
Getting back on topic, if you're just going into fields, woodlands, back lanes and muddy tracks, the Kahn system should be fine.2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

Of course some people just pretend they go off-road and have an excuse to clean them I suspect some will actually throw dirty buckets of mud on theirs first ..." Look luv ...I've been off-roading .....ah well... time to get my detailing kit out....along with my cock"
....or is it that some people on here seem to be suffering from an OCD and feel the need to get everyone else genetically modified. Who do you work for?? Mr. Sheen ??? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
