Too big?

Looks too much like it's sitting on pure alloy and no rubber IMO.

Look like 22" to me.....(or maybe even 23" Shocked )

You're spot on CY....too much alloy, not enough rubber....

Either way, it looks daft if you ask me... Confused

I thought they might be 22s as ronp has about the same clearance but has a much more substantial tyre wall Confused

Whatever the size, the owner can't park Laughing

IMHO - 22's with a 35 series tyre

looks wrong, in a similar way to 20's with a 275 tyre. It sort of needs the chunky look that a 295/45 gives.

They'll be 22" [cos of the lack of tyre profile] and are way too big.
I would even run with a higher profile if i could on my 20's.
looks naff!!

Maybe if it had some more bling bits on it, it may look better. Messers Khan run a Disco 3 with 22" wheels and ultra low profiles and it looks pretty good.

Got to agree that is looks terrible, but it could look better with Chrome side tubes etc.
Wish I had a D3, but at least I now have a Landie - YIPEE

It just looks wrong. Definitely needs more rubber.

Even with the D3's outstanding air suspension, driving on tyres like that must ruin the magic carpet. IMHO the D3 doesn't need to be pimped like that.

The rego plate suggests it's not used on the road... but at least they've not painted every bit of plastic - unlike the 09MY Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

The expression "builder in ballet shoes" springs to mind.
Personally I think the "Tonka toy" design of the D3 needs a big chunky tyre to compliment it. Although I have various sets of 19" alloys & tyres, I actually think that 18"s suit it best.
For me, one of the joys of driving the D3 is that I can park, drive onto verges/kerbs etc. without being paranoid about damaging the alloys & low profile tyres.
Each to their own though.
