Best value battery for D3? |

Any suggestions as to a good value battery that won't be crap or too expensive?
Thanks in advance.

I have a Fiamm Black Titanium, works fine. Had it for 1 1/2 years.
The Exide, that was mentioned above, is one JLR used to put in vehicles with their own stickers.

New battery seems for now to have sorted out the EAS error...phew!!!!
Now I want to keep on top of the charging issue. I suspect that having the old battery in and doing short journeys has been a cause of the problem.
I now have a new charger from Aldi. Diddy electronic job that does look like it's working well.
Question.
Is it OK to charge the battery without disconnecting it from the disco? I'm thinking of hooking up the Aldi charger every couple of weeks to top up the battery charge and it will be quite a bit less hassle if I don't have to disconnect it.
Charger manual says to disconnect. But is it OK to leave is connected?
Cheers

Depends if it is a smart charger or not, photo of the label will help
If suitable through the tow plug is easiest. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I assume the charger is the little smart charger for about 15 quid? if so they are pretty damned good, but at only 3.8 amps they need to be on there overnight, I think you need the icicle setting.
Best of all at that price if/when they die its in the bin and no crying like when the cteks dies
No need to disconnect and I fitted a connector so I can just plug in through the grill slats.
I do lots of short runs and in the winter the charger needs to be on there once a week, the rest of the year it seems fine.

!
After what looked like success in eliminating the 'Normal Height Only' EAS error message by putting in a new battery....
...message has come back.
What I'm wondering is why did it appear to do the trick yesterday? I drove about 20 miles with new battery and all was well. No EAS error.
Today I've driven half a mile and the bloody error has come up again.
Going to put a meter on the battery first to see if something is causing it to drain.
If anyone has suggestions they'd be most welcome. I'm now wondering if it could be the dryer end cap fault that has been talked about on the forum...
I know one thing. I won't buy another car with air suspension for a long time!!! Nightmare!!!

Have you checked the charging voltage?
Air susp is the danglies and has been used on trucks for decades, the odd issue but always an easy fix, literally changed trucks for the better.

Engine idling 12.38v
Engine at 1500rpm 14.1v
So it looks like the alternator is working.
Maybe it's a compressor problem then

You need to get the error codes re-read to stand any chance of getting a solution
Even at idling I would suggest the V should be higher than you have read too. and theeeeennn......???
