Not sure what supply is like in Italy but many on here use oils from small niche companies which are somewhat less expensive than big name brands ( notice I didn't say "cheap" as C1 never is ).
My view is buy from a brand you've heard of and make sure it says C1..

Everyone has their favorite brand. Personally, I like Mannol since it’s priced economically and has a good reputation. Comma, Shell, Mobil, Total, etc. used them all one time or another.
As for “best”, it’s difficult to quantify. We all know JLR recommends castrol but it’s not like it is filled with unicorn tears and fairy dust to make that engine work better.

I totally agree with kajtzu, its down to personnel choice,
For me I would stick with JLR's recommendations (Castrol) but use Mobil else where if not specified.

however, I had a read and whilst I found claims of better cleaning properties and slippery additives, I couldn't find mention of "C1" grade ... but I was relying on MS Edge translating pages so it may well be there.

When I type in my details in the oil selector on that site, it seems to say "no recommendation available".

Wouldn't give me a recommended oil either, but given that they advise use of the same oil for an open, and locking rear diff, id be wary of any recommendation anyway

Always lots of discussion on this topic! Many previous threads can be found on the forum. It seems that if you ask ten Disco owners the best oil, you will receive ten different answers. For me, as long as it meets the LR spec, WSSM2C 934- B, then I'm happy.
I use Smith and Allan engine oil that meets that spec (https://www.smithandallan.com/product/smit...e-oil-4127) as it's cheap and looks, feels and smells the same as oils costing many times more.D1 300Tdi - gone

Even engines filled with the correct spec Castrol form new snap cranks so buy the best oil you can afford of the correct spec and change it more often than LR require.
