Bearmach tree sliders/ steps ... Any good?

Does any one have any experience of these steps? Do they come out as far as landrover side steps? Is there a decent area to plant a foot on?

I need a step to replace the LR ones on that have rusted through but would like to go a bit more hard wearing and unfortunately can't run to prospeed with the plastic inserts.

Any thoughts from the collective here?
Upgrades so far - , rear ladder from prospeed , front and rear light guards G4 style roof rack and 4 lightforce spots on the rack! Xenon lights

Obviously this was a long time ago, but did you, or anyone else fit these? Just been looking at getting some.
Thanks

I ordered some rock sliders from TerraFirma (RimmerBros). I'll fit them over Christmas and spent yesterday preparing them (spraying the mating surfaces and tops of the bars with truck bed liner and touching up the spots that got scratched when shipped to the US). They seem very solid indeed although I can't comment on fit. Another forum member has them and said they fit perfectly well. Thus far I'd recommend them.

I got the bearmach sliders when they were on offer, fitted well, as rock sliders I think they are to narrow, would not protect body work from trees, as steps about the same depth as landrover steps but the tube design not a good step Although they supplied anti slip tape, which I didn’t use, anyone who has difficulty in accessing my car I use the access mode.

Thanks to you all for your experience and alternative recommendations. Bow down I shall look into them.

It appears that the current version includes an infill panel to make stepping on them less likely for your foot to slip through.

I looked at antislip tape as I'll need to stand on my treesliders to get to the stuff we put on the roof. The antislip tape seemed a bit hit and miss with most seeming to peel after a while, hence I masked and sprayed them with bed liner, which provides pretty good grip. Time will tell if that was a good idea or not.

Hi,
We’ve fitted Bearmach sliders.
They do the job. Protected the body when a wall came too close from it.
Still, they do rust if the paint is damaged (as all sliders do I guess).
