I recently replaced the main battery as the old one was the original and now nearly 7 years old and wasn’t holding charge. It’s done well though!
I’ve just towed my caravan for the first time and I noticed rear park sensors, reversing lights and fog lights were not deactivated on the car when the caravan was plugged in. They certainly used to be.
Is it normal to lose the coding when disconnecting the battery?
I had to reset the one shot window closing as well
Is it just a case of getting the coding reset?
I also need to get the BCM updated, although I don’t think this is causing the issues.
Thanks for any ideas

Probably nothing to do with changing the battery! It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Sorry for the delay in responding, I’ve been away in my caravan in Scotland.
I did get the BMS reset eventually because the car had to go in for a new starter motor but I don’t think it was strictly necessary.
To answer my own question, I asked the Indy about whether anything needed resetting re towing electrics they said no.
When I next towed the caravan it seemed to relearn that the van was attached and all is working fine now. Currently 2015 D4 SE Tech, Corris Grey

Probably a poor connection on the tow plug/socket, a shot of electric contact cleaner or WD40 wouldn’t do any harm. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
