Likewise. Halfords will NOT honour the warranty if you can't produce the receipt. I have it emailed to me, and save the receipt electronically. I also print a copy, laminate it, and store it alongside or under the battery.

When looking at the Xtreme a bit closer the numbers did not add up. Shows CCA of 850 but MCA of 1750. Something not quite right there. With MCA of 1750 CCA should be about 1300-1350ish. So won't go with that.
The other one I looks at was the Enduroline but mixed reviews on that and people not willing to trust.
In the end I have gone with the Varta G14, on the basis of 4 year warranty, good known brand and finally, you get what you pay for... Hopefully Dorian Woolger

The Yuasa battery fitted in my D4 is heading in to it's 4th winter of "do I need a new one?". Every year it dips a bit low once or twice but with the threat of being replaced it then recovers and gives no issues
And should it finally go to Lead-Acid heaven this year, I see Halfrauds have the "Silver" Yuasa for £93 with Trade Card, so I'd struggle to justify the extra 50% for the AGM offering.

I had a Exide battery fail within warranty , purchased from Tayna . Replaced without any issue as they keep a record of the purchase so I didn't need to produce receipt.

You have to have the AGM on the Stop-Start models. Standard battery can't handle it.
Also, from what I have read, non AGM don't charge as well with newer "smart" alternators. Might be wrong on that though. Dorian Woolger
