Driving home on M5 last night, car stutured, lights all over dash, bongs and chimes temp gauge on max. So I pulled to hard shoulder the car stalled and would not restart.
So I locked car left it for 10 mins and tried again......nothing, so to cut a long story short had to be recovered back to Devon, thanks RAC.
This morning tried car which was totally dead, lights would come on for a few seconds and go off. Phoned dealer who had not heard of this particular problem?
So I checked battery myself, the indicator on top was black, phoned dealer for a new battery....no battery and no battery at LR for a week. I took battery to local factors who stock them, They are Bosch silverline. Fitted battery car perfect!!!! all for £109.10
The battery had failed internally, plates touching and this had thrown the whole system into failure.....so if your D3 throws a fit check that battery!
Oh great forum by the way.

There's six cells, each giving 2 volts. If the isolators fail between the plates they short and can self drain the charge. Usually the battery will feel warm when you touch the sides when this happens.
Glad you got it sorted LR dealers are good for mudflaps, everything else is on back order

That's a bit harsh. They normally have keyrings, teddy's and baseball caps as well as the mudflaps
Yeovil and Lakeland excepted, of course Disco 5 HSE Lux
