WOW, this is a strong thread
I think we ALL miss Neil and Gary, including me
BUT..................
Stu, its obvious you are a close friend of the GNVP boyz, and good on ya, but IMHO if the site owner wanted the intricate details of the punishment detailed the way you have, would he not have done that
Now, I have made it clear that I was once banned, and I know the harsh reality of the rules when you try to circumnavigate the said punishment which CAN be expulsion, so why oh why did they try ..........................dont answer that!!!!!!!!!
All I can say really, is let it lie as re-reading your numerous posts, "sailing very close to the wind" springs to mind. Martin is the owner, he set the rules to which we ALL ticked and accepted, when he changes the rules they are updated and we are ALL informed. So really, let it go. Let the boyz serve the time, and with luck Martin will offer a chance of redemption, but thats his decision to make and nobody elses.

Fortunately I missed most of the last months events, but did meet up Gary and Neil over the Bala weekend. Spent a couple of evening with Gary and enjoyed his company.
Martin's stance seems very reasonable given the provocation that at face value has happened.
Stu if you don't let this rest Gary and Neil will never get back into Disco 3, as Martin will have to be seen to back down. (He is never going to do this or anarchy will rein upon us ).
Fortunately he appears to have not imposed a lifetime ban, so let these guys keep a low profile for a while and hope that Martin will invite them back.

TBH I think that just about sums it up...
Anyone would think decisions of State were were being discussed The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."
Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."
Club "yes, I too once had the car at the dealer for a couple of weeks nearly 4 weeks over 4 weeks...5 weeks"
Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

I must say I respect Martin's right to act the way he did. I also appreciate his detailed explanation of the sequence of events. Most Admin would not do that.
Best Wishes,

Members need to respect other people and decisions that they make.
It is an Internet forum, but unlike others, it is owned and supported by an individual(s).
In general the problem with the world today is lack of respect for other people and people trying to short cut every system that is put in place and get away with it.

Well said. Rules are Rules in this case, and really was it worth trying to bypass them.

I think you'll have to start your own thread on that one A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.
