What make of prop shaft have you previously fitted? GKN or LR only I'm afraid.

Those props rarely fail and when they do its usually the centre bearing which is serviceable.

If you have two LR props fail consecutively there might be a misalignment at either the transmission or rear diff. Check the crossmember mounting to the transfer case but I've never known it to come loose or fail. You could also look at the rear diff mounts.

Thank You PROFSR G this can also be quite random at times sometimes nothing and other times feels like the prop is going to shake itself to destruction. Hoping someone else has had similar symptoms as this one has totally stumped us.

If it's random there's your biggest clue!! Something is definitely moving in and out of alignment Thumbs Up

This also sounds like a gearbox shudder, which can feel like a prop problem.
Has this always been diagnosed as a prop? By a garage? Did you inspect the old ones?
Some background on which garage you're using. Do they know their onions?
