I never got to the bottom of this... It comes and goes though. Some journeys it's pretty silent but others (longer ones) it ticks away in my ear like a torture instrument!

Definitely interested to see your photos and try replicating the hammer blow!

As promised, after 120 miles or so, no more ticking. In my book, its fixed

See photos for location of two dinks made with a hammer and screwdriver in two small openings in the b pillar, just below the lower seat belt mount, passenger side

There may be other ways of doing this, but its worked.

Also a photo of more clips that I need - think I have found them on line

Good luck !

clips are probably these:

Since getting the D4 I've had an annoying light rattling that seemed to be coming from all around the car.
Today I found the cause ...... it was my small tin of mints I keep in the cubby box tray !!!!
Shocked
Mints now all gone ...... rattles now all gone!

Fantastic... I'll give it a go! So you literally just slotted a screwdriver into those holes and then bashed it with a hammer to push the metal back from it? Worth a go!

@ronp - you're back in a Disco??

I get an annoying whine coming from the passenger seat area. Strangely, it's only when I have the wife in the car. Whistle

Hi - is this fix still working? I’ve just bought a December 2015 Disco and I reckon I have exactly this issue. It’s annoying because it comes and goes, and a few well placed taps with a rubber hammer along the edges of the driver side (am LHD here so I get the ticking right in my ear!) door next to the B Pillar under seals seems to remove the ticking for a while before it returns. Just wondered if it’s worth getting LR to do the Nov/Dec 2015 TSB fix around the seatbelt mount (if I can get them to agree that is the issue - most other people can’t even hear it!) or whether I have a go at your hammer and screwdriver trick. Just that it seems quite difficult to pull off the trim on the B pillar in order to get a screwdriver positioned correctly. Worried I won’t be able to get it back on! Thanks for any advice....
