howling moon is great, and with the OZtent caravan connector you can connect the front canopy of the ozrent to the car awning Thumbs Up

I love the concept of the foxwing and was close to getting one,
but there are a few things I did not like. Like the top mounting
position on the RR as shown, difficult for us short a Censored s
to reach and side mount would protrude more because of it's bulk.
to compensate for that would require the narrowing of the RR Shocked
Then there is that water drain tube running down next to the tail
light, makes no sense to me, you don't want the water under the
roof section, the awing drop angle should do the job Question
Some must have kit:
1) Get some proper tent pegs, like the caravaners use.
2) A storm strap, if wind really is bad.
3) Extra long pegs for sand conditions, came in very handy in the
river bed as the the top pic shows.
4) A decent hammer.
5) A peg removal tool, something with a hook on one end and a
handle on the other, makes life a lot easier.
Some other pointers:
I have not seen a rear wall available as an off the shelf stock item,
had to have mine made to fit by the factory, as they zip together.
If you are going the side wall route, check how they attach, zips are
the way to go, plastic clips and velcro are a pain in the a Censored s
My Howling Moon has this on the side wall top sections.
Also when it rains the water accumulates on the roof and sags down
forming a nice dam above your head, the Foxwing has a better design,
those who have them can give a better answer, so a few lengths of the
fiberglass tent rods come in handy, the ones they use on dome tents.
Pop them under the roof to create a dome affect to get the water to
run off better.
Otherwise great piece of kit to have.

awning

Hello There,

Did you ever consider a Fiamma bag awning? I've seen (and sold) the howling moon and eezi awn awning and in the netherlands they are expensive (aprox. 500) but they are not very heavy rain proof. Most of them are sun awninigs and are not appropiate for the heavy rain. The foxwing is a very nice product an give's a lot of room/space for its money and is very heavy duty....
I bought a fiamma for €200 the setup is much easyer than an eezi awn or howling moon and it is bad weather proof !! Is doesn't look offroad lik but you can have a local sail/tent maker ask to prepare a green of black bag for the awning.

Good luck whit your choice perhapas this is of any help.

greetz Han
