Awful performance after a month laid up.

Hi everyone.I've got a 2007 D3 tdv6 se auto which I haven't used for about a month.Today I went for a run in it and the performance is terrible, the last time I used it it was excellent. The previous owner had the erg valves blanked. It starts and idles ok but acceleration is awful.Does anyone have any pointers?
Thanks Geoff.

No it was a 60mile round trip everything seems to work ok but it was surging on the motorway as I tried to accelerate.

You could be right but I wouldn't know where it was or how to test it if I found it sorry. I've also noticed I've put this in the D4 forum by mistake not having a good day.

Well the cleaner arrived and I gave the maf sensor a good spraying. It's definitely better mid range but pulling away is very hit and miss I've got to pick my moment before I pull out. I'll give it another clean as soon as I can and hopefully that'll do the trick.

I've got a basic code reader which didn't show any codes. Does the turbo come in as I move off from rest?I press the accelerator and nothing happens for a second or two then it pulls away slowly before accelerating very frustrating.
