Don't suppose anyone, third party or DIY, has cracked this one?
It would be a game changer if I could plug in my iPhone to the car's infotainment and be able to play videos etc for the kids on the middle row screens.
I used a product from a company called Mediabridge for my BMW e46 3 series which was a pretty simple plug in module. It provided an enormous amount of additional functionality without changing the head unit.
Lastly, in the event that no such 'fix' exists, does anyone have any experience changing their head unit to provide additional functionality?

a pair of ipads and cheap mounting brackets for the headrest legs is the most flexible. But this is coming the man that had the naviplus carplay to my headunit and have since changed that out for the tesla type larger screen.
Do a search on here on those two and you will see more info
