Aux Input For Audio System
I have an issue when plugging any I pod into the auxiliary socket of the Audio system.
I have to run the I pod at full output volume and have to increase the volume of the audio to a much higher than normal setting.
This has implications on being able to correctly set the volume offset of the sat nav so that the woman is not barking commands at me and also I cannot switch to CD or radio without deafening my passengers.
Any thoughts ??2006 TDV6 HSE Remapped - Awesome -

You need a 'belkin' like adapter with a built in amplifier to deal with the sound...If you do a seach for belkin \ ipod you should find what you need21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I have tried a transmitter one also - but thay are not very good at all.
The ultimate has to be The Harman Kardon drive and play unit - I fitted one in the wifes mini - and it is superb. It replicates all the functions of the ipod on an additional console mounted thumb wheel and has a dash mounted screen that mimics the ipod display.
I am reticent though to take the Disco to bits to fit it - and even more reticent to let someone else take it to bits to fit one.
Maybe I will get the courage up and bite the bullet - as so far what with all the leads and clips and transmitters I have bought I have already spent nearly the same amount as I would have done purchasing a Harman Kardon unit in the first place.
Anyone had any experience of fitting one to a Disco ???2006 TDV6 HSE Remapped - Awesome -
