Automatic Gearbox

My Disco has just started to slip into neutral on its own when braking and stopping. When i try to pull off again the revs go up, foot off throttle the gear engages (most of the time). I have noticed that prior to this happening as I am braking the revs drop to about 600. Any one ideas? Obviously am booking into the dealer soonest.

Many moons ago, I owned a Chrysler 180 automatic. The auto box had a slight leak that I couldn't be a Censored d to fix and when the oil level dropped just a little below full, the box began to do all manner of strange things like start off in 2nd gear, change gear very erratically etc.

Has your gearbox developed a leak. You haven't noticed any oil on the ground where you park have you?
Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills Smile

I'm pretty sure there was something a while back about the linkages needed to be adjusted. take it to your dealer to sort.

8) Nice to know your dealer is on the ball.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
