Audio Connectivity Kit - D3
Hi,
My first post so please bear with me. I'm a D3 virgin! I have spent hours looking through Google to find out how to connect IPOD to the Premium Audio radio so I can use the Aux button on the dash. I have found mention of the "Audio Connectivity Kit" but cannot find one on google or ebay or Land Rover. My local dealer is baffled and my local quality car audio people say they have not fitted one before so they cannot help. I'm just stuck and would be pleased to have some help. I just feel I'm missing something here and it must be simple to connect the IPOD to the Premium Audio system in the D3 (2005) HSE model.
Regards
Steve

I got the Land Rover iPod kit from TLO (Nick, Yeovil Land Rover) and had it fitted by TFC (Iain, Offroad Essentials) and it works a treat. Charges the iPod/iPhone and can skip tracks using steering wheel controls.
Mine is also a 2005 model.
You can also get a tray for the top of the centre console/cubby box which an iPhone fits in perfectly

welcome to Disco3
Your actually quite local to me as i live in Norton Fitzwarren
The version of the ipod kit as it was has now been deleted by Land Rover as a few issues with the later 3G & 3Gs phones
Since they deleted the D3 version they have kept the FL2 version live which thanks to TFC we have found will fit the D3 as all the wiring is still inside the kit
The bad news is the price £211 INC VAT (Forum price)
Give me a call at work 01935 476660 and i can explain a bit more or email me using the link below and i can email you the fitting instructions for it
NickTLO has left the building.......
I no longer work for a Landrover Dealer

Thank you, all very welcome. I'll make contact later today and try to get to grips with this. I have found it so frustrating that my local dealer does not appear to know what I'm talking about. I'm new to this (forums) but delighted to have found such a great place to find information. Thank you.

hi,
You can probably source this thing in the UK:

Cheap (12-12£) and working perfectly. I have the Ipod in a brodit holder on the dash. Before I got the holder, it was just lying under the radio (a bit better, outside the eye of occasional thieves).
Unfortunately, it gets hard to find. Seems that Belkin stopped producing it. I ordered a spare one for sure. The LR kit is VERY expensive. Some people get by
With a little understanding
Some people get by
With a whole lot more
I dont know
Why you gotta be so undemanding
