It finally got cold here today - temperature dropped from 60 to 39 deg F in a matter of a couple hours.
Something odd happened. On the trip computer display in the center of the instrument binnacle, the normal "EXT" text next to the temperature was replaced with a snowflake. I also believe there was a 'bong' warning chime to go with it.
Any ideas what that was/is ?
Thanks!

It is a warning for potential ice on the roads when the temp drops to 4 degrees C. Too late at night to work out the degs f trigger
It also means zip up your jacket and put the wooly hat on when leaving the vehicle.

Ah. That makes some sense.
4 deg c = 40 deg f
The indicator came up just as it dropped below 40 F.
Strange I couldn't find that in the owner's manual anywhere.

It's telling you it's cold and that you will enjoy the thrill of the ever popular FBH !!! Also means global warming has been delayed by 1 day in the US of A
Oh and for George W the USA is the bit on the map below Canada and above Mexico with Europastan on the right and a lot of blue on the left Alive and kicking..who's round is it anyway ??

No FBH in USA V8's! only on the diesel engine in colder temperate climes.
