Picked up the car this morning. Its had a new turbo actuator and rod, which of course is a piddly £20 part, unfortunately takes 6 hours to remove the turbo to fit it. Evil or Very Mad

Having driven it home, it seems good, with plenty of power and no errors.

Land Rover have made a 66% contribution to the bill.

Nice to get LR to contribute, quite rare too I reckon. Glad it's all sorted.

Well, I had better update this. 140 miles later, the car left me sat at the side of the M56 with ESF and no power Evil or Very Mad

Restart and it went ok again. I drove it straight back to the dealer and they took it into the workshop. The diagnosis was both egrs failed.

So, I was slightly concerned that they might have misdiagnosed the first failure, and wasted a lot of time changing a turbo actuator, however, the codes were different and to be fair, the first ESF did not leave the car in paper-weight mode, the second one did.

Both egr's were changed last week, and the dealer ran the car for a couple of days to make sure it was ok, and I have now done a couple of long journeys with no more faults.

So confidence is growing. I'm not sure how much this second attempt has cost, as the dealer just gave me the keys back and no bill to pay. Hopefully Warranty Direct have paid out Thumbs Up (dealer said they would sort it)
