I went last year with school! It's a beautiful area! We did 5 days of non stop kayaking and I loved every minute Thumbs Up weather was perfect and the things you will see is amazing! The massive Rock faces and natural rock arches its stunning! Make sure you take a good camera! I would Defo go again when I have my own kids Thumbs Up

We traveled down in 2007, September, great weather, beautiful part of France. We took the car on the overnight train to Avignon (was direct from Calais but no longer runs from there) and stayed in a small village a little further north (Salazac). Traveled back over a few days including a trip across the Millau bridge, a run through the Tarn Gorge. The grape harvest was in full swing and great to visit some of the vine yards.
Here's a link to some pictures from the holiday. Thumbs Up

Covered most of France in the last 30years with my caravan, several times to the Ardeche and it remains one of my favourite areas. Weather good, plenty of choice to keep you active.
I always say it reminds me of Lake District terrain but with sun and warmth. Not as green as the Dordogne more rugged but beautiful scenery with rivers and gorges. Be sure to take at least one canoeing adventure.
