Apple video / RSE question |
|
Hi
I have a 2012 D4 HSE with rear screen entertainment, and have a question about how to play video from an apple device through the RSE
The rear seats have a connection panel with a USB input as well as a composite AV input (the red, white, yellow sockets)
I've tried playing video from my i phone by connecting to the USB socket. The iphone thinks it is connected and playing to a TV but the rear screens tell me to connect a AUX device (after having set the RSE to have an AUX input from the front screen)
Is i possible to play iphone / ipad video to the RSE through the USB cable ? Am I doing something wrong ? (DVDs work fine, so I think the RSE is all ok)
If not, is it possible to play video from an apple device to the RSE by using a composite AV cable ? Or any other means...?
Any advice gratefully received !
cheers
Paul

Hi,
my kids use their iPods with a composite cable and to reduce noise interference I also installed an audio ground loop isolator with cinch / RCA connectors.
