So I got my display and this is a great little thing. Some concerns about the display size but getting it working was absolutely trivial. Also it was possible from the display settings menu select that audio would not come through the unit but the phone would instead send it direct to the vehicle. It is snappy and no complaints about screen quality, either.

Can’t wait to get this installed in the vehicle. Power is fed via USB-C which was a pleasant surprise.

Finally installed the CarPlay display in the vehicle. Temperatures are above zero so I assume the adhesive pads will work better Whistle

In hindsight I should have installed it slightly closer and more in the middle since the teenagers suddenly want to control the playlist….. Rolling Eyes it came with only one adhesive sticker so I need to manufacture another if I want to move it.

All in all this was a great purchase and quite affordable. Great addition to the vehicle.

My audio bypasses the unit completely so it’s only a display and touch. Figured out that it can also auto-dim based on time so it isn’t so bright in the evenings.

Also in the todo list is to install the rear camera as well as hide the USB-C cable better.
