The down hill rock crawl looked liked Stanage. Could be wrong tho' aint been up there for years

Yep, thats Stannage and a very brave D3 driver too Also Bakewell ford, which incidently is now inadvisable to drive due to the fact that its known as a bridleway.

Really? I was thinking the exact opposite. I would never have placed that large rock under the middle of the D3. I would have placed the truck about a foot to the drivers right.
That female passenger in the first Defender certainly looked quite nice

I know that lane very well, and believe me, its very tight.
I would say that a longer vehicle has to go over that big rock to some extent. There is a large rock on the drivers side which prevents you going too far over, if you mis-judge it and rest your front bumper against the rock, you are cross axled and its very hard to reverse away to have another go. I know, I got stuck there in my 109 2a, and needed a high lift to move the vehicle away from said rock.
Its a great lane, but please don't try it in your D3 without walking it first. Some say it is actually the best rock crawling available on a public road in the UK 8)
