Has anyone installed the Opposite lock 104lt fuel tank with |
|
I had ordered the long ranger fuel tank six weeks ago only to find out that the long range tankwill now not be available until mid august. Well I was well a truly off . Since in four weeks I am going to Broome and that’s why I wanted the tank.
So this didn’t leave me much time to organise another tank. I tried to get the long range automotive tank, but 8 weeks delivery. So in the end the only option left is the Opposite Lock 104lt tank. The only thing I didn’t like about this tank is that it is connected directly to the original tank so they both drain down together. This will mean that I will have to double the reading on the dash to work out how much range I have left.
The other issue is that the tank manufacture is not sure if the tank fill fit the Kaymar rear bumper. But the Opposite lock salesman believes that one of the other stores has done it. But he’s not sure if they had to do any mods to fit the tank.
Any feed back from users of this tank would be appreciated. ATACAMA SAND SE ,V6 PETROL, AUTO ,WINDOW TINT ,SIDE STEPS, SPORTS ROOF RACKS, ARB BULLBAR, KAYMAR REAR BUMPER TWIN TYRE, HID SPOTLIGHTS, TX3540 RADIO, ICOM 400PRO, GPS, DUAL BATTERY SYSTEM, MITCHELL BROS TOW HITCH.

Because I don’t thrust anyone selling anything.
I called the original tank manufacture (the long ranger) only to find they have two in stock and this story about mid August was crap.
So I called the store back, now they are blaming head office.
So now they are ordering the tank and hopefully they should be able to fit it in two weeks as originally planned.
