Anyone got a wiring diagram/manual?

I posted a problem I had with xenon shutters 'sticking' in this thread a while ago. In spite of two visits to the dealer, they haven't been able to replicate the symptoms in the workshop but it is still occurring; normally after using full beam for some time. Luckily, all three occurrences I have had have been on quiet country roads, with little oncoming traffic to annoy. Switching the lights off and on again doesn't clear the fault, although it always clears itself overnight.

It affects both lights so I am assuming there is a relay or control module of some kind further up the chain that is sticking and is the real culprit. Can anyone shed any light on this (ha, ha, no pun intended).

ISTR Mossy had this issue and his dealer replaced the headlight unit under warranty so sounds like it's a mechanical problem with the actual shutter

Yes he did (see the thread I linked to). But his was just one light and it could be cured by tapping the unit. My fault seems to be different which is why I am suspecting the control circuitry. Whatever happens it'll be a warranty fix. Trouble is, short of taking T.H. White's Service Manager with me wherever I go for the next week or so, it's difficult for me to demonstrate the actual fault!

Just found this if it helps ..

The xenon headlamp is known as bi-xenon and operates as both low beam and high beam headlamp unit. The xenon
lamp or High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamp as they are sometimes called, comprises an ellipsoidal lens with a solenoid
controlled shutter to change the beam output from low to high beam.

NOTE :

If the lighting control switch is in the OFF position, the xenon lamps do not operate when the high beam 'flash'
function is operated. If the lighting switch is in the headlamps position or AUTO position with the low beam lamps
active, the xenon low beam will remain on when the high beam 'flash' function is operated.

The xenon headlamp system is controlled by the CJB using a control module for each headlamp and an igniter. The
control modules and the igniters provide the regulated power supply required to illuminate the xenon bulbs through their
start-up phases of operation.

Wiggs - all received. Many thanks. I think the dealer has also conceded now and will try swapping the headlights for known good units. At least I can go armed with information!
