My experience with powerful has always been good. Good to see how they handled this issue for you.
Grill looks great

One of the things I want to do in 2017 to spruce my Disco up is get the wheels sprayed gloss black, as well as the grille and side vents. I think it would look good with the ProSpeed rack etc.
I'd never have thought I'd buy anything like this grille but thinking about it, getting one in black/black/black would actually be ideal... hmm D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

The replacement grill arrived this morning and the mod is to remove the baffles. The fitting is now unhampered but the shape remains as before. I think it looks good despite this issue so will wear the first grill but keep the original one in case any future buyer doesn't. I now have two black/chrome/black grills.
Lucky me??

I've spoken to Simon at Powerful UK who told me to sell off the spare grill so with that in mind I'm selling the new one for £60 plus post if anyone wants it. Based in Essex if anyone wanted to collect. Literally an hour old.

Daft question, but how grey is the grey in the grille? Is it Brunel grey or is it Dark Atlas like on the graphite models.
I only ask as I plan to get the side vents and alloys done in the same colour.
Cheers.

The black/silver/grey looks really good on your grey car boeingbbj2.
Quick photos of the new black/silver/black grille fitted.
Car is dirty and grille isn't yet so looks a bit odd.
Still a VERY minimal difference in height between top of grille and top of lights but it's so negligible with bonnet closed (which is how I normally drive it ), so think I can live with it.
Think it looks good in that colourway on a black car.
Now I need to figure out what indicator LED's can get rid of orange bulb visible and how to 'de-tango' the xenon lights without breaking them as I always thought xenon lights were properly sealed to house the xenon gas?
Mine arrived today for Silver D4 HSE I have in stock....
I don't think that suits the silver at all

I agree. I was going to get one for mine but seeing this has made me rethink. I wonder if an all black one would be better? Also, black arches might help. I'm thinking of refitting mine.New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)
