Why would the MOD want such a vehicle and however much would it have cost new?
I would guess £150k plus, I am sure that could be better used be the military.Club Narpy Torch

Saw it in the flesh today it is huge......Mr Landy (that really is his name) told me he wants £85k. It is well put together particularly impressive "solid" panel at the back of rear seat pillar. It was a quick look just did not have the time but as they say I could not see the seems.
Rear middle seat removed for some well trimmed box of tricks(?), but not for me.
I assume still 3500kgs MAM ??D3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)

Discovery 4 6x4 with or without trailer
Quote:
This vehicle has multiple uses with two configurations. The first being an Expedition Vehicle with the rear body, complete with a roof tent for two adults, 2m awning and cooking facilities. The second being, you can detach the rear body and attach the fifth wheel to tow the event support trailer which has multiple uses in itself. It has a vast area in the back with room for a small inflatable boat with outboard motor, and in addition another 4x4, race or rally car if you desire.

That's some fair bit of engineering. I wonder how much the Navy paid for it, and why they did it?
In a way it would make an ideal motor for me, as in 'Exped' mode I could use it for camping trips with the Oztent, and if I swapped the caravan for one of those 5th wheel jobbies, then it would work for family trips too.

That is a fantastic looking bit of kit.
I see that the price is POA and the RN would have paid a huge sum for such a special one off.
i wish i had the time and the cash as that would be cracking expedition rig.Andy.
