Another Ipod Question: Connected via Aux cable - Speakers

Hi

Yes, another Ipod question! - sorry!

Ipod connect via aux cable. Sometimes it plays on all speakers, sometimes on the right or the left only.

I have not investigated too much as I have not had time as I was driving.

Could it be down to the loading of the song and the format?.

It works fine on Bose systems and home HiFi....

Really confused me!

This happens if the cable isn't quite plugged in fully (At either end). It would also happen if the cable was a bit dodgy.
Give it a wiggle!

I have been fiddling with the hole just now and.....I felt the rim and it was all smooth, subject to a bit grime, which has been duly cleaned away with a kleenex. I have also put in a cotton bud to wipe the smears away. Put it in and it didnt feel right, a bit grainy. I put a bit of cleaner on the male part and inserted it a couple of times and it works fine. The pleasure of banging tunes on the D3!

Thanks for all the help...... Thumbs Up
