Amplifier missing one channel

I have a disco 3 HSE with HK hi-line logic7 audio fitted. I like the sound of the system, but left front low freq speaker is completely mute. Otherwise all other speakers working as they should.

There is a fault code b1a07-13 (2f) (Speaker 7 circuit - general electrical failure - circuit open).

I have tried with three different speakers and also measured that the wiring is OK between amp and the speaker. So, it seems that the problem is in the amplifier. Rolling Eyes

My question is, have anyone tried (successfully) repair the amplifier in similar situation? Or should I just get myself another amp?

when I have had similar problems on these, I turn the volume up loud and the speaker starts working.

Then turn it down

Are you sure the speaker wires aren't short to chassis.
The green wires can rub on the seat mountings (front seat, rear mounts)

or wires break where the door hinge is

I had a similar issue once with the Logic 7, it refused to output sound to one of the rear doors, RH if I recall. After I received my Nanocom I gradually flashed all the ECUs as mine were all still on the factory versions. After I flashed the Logic 7, everything worked for some reason or another.

Interesting.

It’s amazing what requires a software update.

Thanks for advice for both of you!

I guess I'll try to flash it first since I have IIDTool.

Turning up the volume makes no difference. I haven't measured if the wires are shorted to the GND, but I have removed the passenger seat (LHD) and inspected that everything seemed to be okay down there. I guess I will still measure if they are shorted, but as I mentioned, I've measured that the wires are connected from amplifier connector to speaker connector and they are not shorted with each others.
