I Have had a look at these, anyone had stuff delivered from China before.
At £9.99 + £9.99 delivery are they much cheaper than buying in the UK?Arctic Frost Discovery 3 TDV6 SE, Active Rear Diff, Adaptive Head Lights, Tow Pack, Ebony Leather, Roof Rails, Mantec Guard. Tasmod Stainless Sill plates. Grabber AT's. Home made mud flaps. Side Steps back on until the next time.

A Mate of mine purchased some via EVS and also from ebay for a different vehicle the units are exactly the same. Plan to use Cat 5 cable to the front of the car should be fine with the voltage and easy to hide.

mmmmmm...... may have a punt on these then.....
I guess the difference between these and the EVS unit is that the EVS units have built in sequencer (better sequence options IMHO) where this is fairly basic. But still do the job. Bodsys Brake Bible
I've got them in mine, and for the price they're good. These video clips don't do the installation any justice at all - filmed from my mobile they don't show the actual flash sequence or brightness. Not as bright as the EVS lamps, but a fraction of the price and can still be seen for miles. The cables need extending to reach the back, but that's easy enough. Well worth 20 quid

Do you think you could run 8 of those LED's off of that single controller? i.e. 4 at the back as you have them, and 4 and the front?
Can they still be seen clearly through the privacy Glass?Bodsys Brake Bible
The percentage of tint on the glass will be the percentage of light you will loose. From memory they are brighter than a standard pen cell torch so possibly try yourself before buying.

I think it would run 8 without a problem - check out this ebay shop where they seem to be selling the same controller powering 6x22LEDs, and many other combinations.
I must confess, I screwed up on mine as I mounted the LEDs onto the plastic center loadspace roof trim, which looked great until I closed the upper tailgate and realised the lights were not visible behind the glass . So it needs a spacer the bring each LED unit down a bit, which I've not bothered to do yet. Although if I've ever stopped at the side of the road the tailgate will be open for access to the tools, FA kit etc anyway, in which case they're very visible.Previously:

Are you aware of the law and warning lights
Nicked from the EVS forum
You are technically breaking the law using an amber beacon on any vehicle other than those excepted by the RVL regs and construction and use regs.
You are unlikely to get done for it but you could.
In general, there is absolutely NO reason for a private motorist to use anything other than "normal" hazard warning lights and in fact, equipping yourself with anything in excess of what the average motorist would use could imply a greater duty of care and negate any effect of the unwritten "good Samaritan" principle and could also leave you open to being sued if the position of your vehicle confuses someone and causes an accident. For "normal" emergency vehicles using blue lights and breakdown vehicles who can legitimately use Amber warning lights, their insurances would cover any such liability, I guarantee yours would not!

I'm going to order the same one as RM Plus these ebay item eBay Item No. 250348076981. They are the 22LED ones for the front.
Wiring wise, I love RM's installation with the driver visible LED's, so will aim to do somethign similar.
Will wire the four rear LED's to just two of the cables (there seems to be plenty fo scope to run these in series (or is it parrallel?) and then direct the other two cables to the front so I can run 2 x 22LED units in the grill (or somewhere similar) They reckon they are waterproof, but will have to see when I get them.
Good find and great price.
They say they'll do bulk price on 10 units........ Anyone want to arrange.....?Bodsys Brake Bible
