If you were towing a Vehicle either via rope or rigid bar you would be acting as recovery and so be entitled to use them.

I understand what you are saying, but does your (or any standard) insurance policy cover you for acting as a recovery vehicle, if it does you would be entitled to show the lights when carrying out such duties, if it does not you shouldn't be doing it anyway so the lights are immaterial.

I'd say more like splash resistant, but with a smear if silicone they would be better.Previously:

Plan to use Cat 5 cable to the front of the car should be fine with the voltage and easy to hide.
That's a thought, could wire through from the fron in one easy go & then I couls also use soem of the cables to switch my LF170 relay on as well.
Relay takes 1.6w, which is way less than the 16w that I rate the cable at (7x0.20mm) should be 1.4amp max. At 12v, I make that 16.? watts.
The LEDS control unit uses between 4 and 6w so even if all the lights were on, would still be easily with range. Keeps the wires nice and tidy as well. Hadn't thought of that fob
Unless anyone can pipe up with a major flaw in that thought process?Bodsys Brake Bible

I just use this at work, we have to have a beacon of sorts to access the staff Top car park in the factory, rapid Catapillars and forklifts insist on it, and when I take the D3 it always goes up there as the pikeys has access to the lower car park.
Really is bright, several different modes, and the bracket is adjustable to fit and windscreen, £10 off ebay including postage a while back. Highly recommend though
Liking the look of yours - can you give any links to where on fleabay you got it??
Cheers

Simoniz, just took me ages going through my 2008 feedbacks, and over 90 days old you canny access the products in my feedback. So I tried plan B, went to my Paypal account and found that this is the seller. Gone onto ebay and listed a product that he is selling, not the one you are after but at least it's this seller.
