Could be a chaffed wire or perforation in the loom somewhere. Assuming it all operates as it should? Bodsys Brake Bible

My amber light stays on and red flashes Emergency brake works but handbrake doesn't operate for parking. If I leave parked for a couple of hours then handbrake sometimes operates, but after driving for about ten minutes without touching the handbrake switch the warning lights come on and repeated bongs.
Faultmate says Force Pressure Sensor failure and sometimes says the Emergency Release is operated, sometimes one fault code, sometimes four. I adjusted the shoes as per Bodsy's Brake Bible at the weekend and the problem went away for a couple of days but came back on tonight
Anybody have any idea where the loom chaffs? I'll strip down discs to see if shoes worn out, but I always release handbrake manually Faultmate MSV2 EXTREME

If that happens ^^^ could be down to a worn clutch.. My D3 Build Thread

Mine was damaged right next to the actuator - where the loom plugs into the actuator. It can be accessed by removing the spare wheel - centre rear of the chassis, BAS (Pete) fixed mine - turned out that a multi meter probe had been used on the loom and damaged some of the wires, once three or four were cut and re soldered all my EPB woes disappeared.

My yellow park brake light flashes me just once occasionally at the start of a drive after a cold/damp night.
I noticed it does this when changing from 2nd to 3rd gear (light comes on after pushing the stick out of 2nd and goes off again once the stick is in 3rd). It won't flash again after that. And it doesn't do it on every cold start either. I've told my dealer about it but they have no clue. So I haven't worried about it, hoping it's just a minor gremlin and won't get any worse

Cheers brucezcutts, I'll have a look in that region I can live with the lights on the dash and no handbrake (auto), it's the driving with the brake lights on till I come to a halt or go into reverse that's the problem Faultmate MSV2 EXTREME
