Sounds like they had an issue then,
All I have to do now is work out why my other Giff Gaff sim isn't allowing a data connection

Update
I eventually sent my Altox unit to the guys in Moscow, as they said they’d take a look at it.
Received an email from them over the weekend stating my unit had “serious issues” and they would send me a new one out - it’s currently on it’s way to Blighty!
Have to admit I’ve been missing it with these cold mornings (although it’s probably quite balmy to our Russian friends I’m sure.... )
Great service from Altox

My Altox seems completely dead.
I get the message: "The device does not have internet connection. Check account balance of SIM card in device."
The SIM card account has 10 GBP credit on the account and the card works fine in another phone. If I ring the number with the card in the Altox is immediately switches to voicemail/answerphone.
There are no lights on the Altox device at all. It's completely dead. I have checked the fuse and there is nothing wrong with that.
Last time I communicated with the device was several months ago.
I have approached Altox for help and they have been pretty good. However, they want me to check the supply voltages. There is a block connector that provides power to the Altox. So, if I look at the block connector with the clip in the 12 O'Clock position, which pins do I need to test and what voltages should I expect?
Thanks in advance.

Never mind! I measured across pins 1 and 3 (red cable and black cable - who would have thought it?!) and I get 11.96V. Looks like the device has just stopped working.

Hi, I recently had exactly the same problem. It seems to arise from using the app on two devices. You will need to text the module to send you the settings and then change over to the recently updated server.Look in the instructions under “Updating settings in the Altox Heater, selecting a server in the application and in the module”.Hope this helps.

From the Altox manual . Updating settings in the Altox Heater, selecting a server in the application and in the module
We updated the Altox Heater application and added a more powerful s1.altox.ru server to the system.
The essence of the update is to automatically switch your module and application to a new server. In the case of controlling the same module from several telephones, switching to a new server must be done manually.
Server selection in the updated application is carried out in the application settings menu using the button located in the upper right.
The server in the module is selected by changing the IP address of the SMS with the SERVER1 command.
For the application to work with the module, the same server must be selected in the module and in the application.
If s0.altox.ru is selected in the application, the address must be configured in the module with the command SERVER1:85.114.140.44
If s1.altox.ru is selected in the application, the address must be configured in the module with the command SERVER1:89.163.210.119

Thanks for the replies but the device is dead. No lights, flashing or otherwise but I know it's getting power. So, I can't communicate with it.
I'm sending it to Maria in Belarus for them to take a look at it. May get it back by the summer!
