Altox FBH Controller - Errors ?
I finally installed my Altox GSM FBH controller I brought in the original batch from Thomas on here last year.
When activating via GSM or button, I here the FBH start to run but never to the point where it burns.
The GSM interface sends a type 2 code that when translated (https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fen.altox.by%2Fcode_webasto&edit-text=) appears to be:
It does not start (the scheduled time for the flame is not detected)
1) The reason for the air intake pipe or exhaust gases. 2) The reason for the fuel system. 3) Check nasosdozator. 4) Check the electrical system of the heating pin.
I ran mine via MSV2 the weekend and purged/cleaned a few times. Did the break cleaner trick. When the car starts, it kicks the FBH off so i know its working.....
The only deviation I have made is to connect it to my secondary battery (Yellow Top) and so there may be a difference in voltage possibly ?????
Has anyone had this issue ? Any ideas how to fix ?
Cheers - as ever -

Going from memory, which isn't the best tbh, I'm sure there was something about not connecting to the aux battery, can't remember when or why but I'm sure there's a known problem in doing so in the dim and distant past with other FBH controllers.
Are you making sure the car is properly asleep before attempting this?Mods:

Hi IDS
not many use the button, in a D3 because you need the car to sleep before you have control over it.. so lock the car, wait 5-10 minutes.
then you should start it up..
i don't know, when you use the AUX battery, what does the ALTOX app say in voltage, I have never tried using the AUX myself ?
so if you start car, when temp is under 5 FBH kicks in as it should everytime ?
I'm using the aux battery and have had no issues. Voltage displayed is as read from the fbh based on my observations Mark.

Hi
Interesting..... so a few things....
1) The led/button has four wires that match the Altox loom, so I followed them and connected all of them the same. Are they all needed?
2) yep am in a d3, however to the button connection I added a button remote unit that does momentary press as live in an area without GSM coverage (forest of dean) so wanted a way of starting it from house.
3) car is definitely asleep. I will try it again before leaving work via the GSM method....
4) voltage on the yellow top is fine. I'll copy off the status message later.
Do you press and hold the button or give it a quick dab?
I'm not sure exactly home the button works - it probably is just a vfc - but I'd get it working without your remote first.Mark.

Knew I'd seen it somewhere, have a read of this: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic119845-28.html.
That was specifically using a 1533 timer but it might be a W-Bus issue.Mods:

Yeh. Understood but comfortable that bit works as its just a momentary pulse like the led/button unit supplied.
Its not working via GSM either so I suspect something is up there......

Cheers Narpy ...... Ill take a look and report back. It wouldnt be much work to swap it over as there is a slave cable to the main battery I can tap into.
I ended up fitting mine in a plastic tub in the aux battery compartment. Bit of a squeeze but there you go !
